But the doctrine of Christ as taught in the Bible is something far different. Jesus Christ was not just a created being, a sort of fall guy sent from heaven. The Bible clearly teaches the Lord Jesus Christ was and is God Himself, that it was the Creator and Sustainer of the entire universe, Almighty God Himself, who came down and took upon Himself His own penalty for the sins of mankind. God in His love for man didn't send anyone else, but He Himself came and allowed His own precious blookd to be spilled for our sins.
