What is Mormonism? Is this religious group, founded by Joseph Smith in 1830 and proclaiming 8 million members as of 1991, Christian, cult, or occult? This booklet will answer this question by giving a brief overview of Mormon history and beliefs, comparing it's major doctrines with the Bible and revealing some devastaing facts regarding the foundation upon which it is built.

Though this booklet addresses several difficult and unsettling problems with Mormonism, it is not an attack on the sincerity, intelligence or religious dedication of individual Mormons. Because many well-meaning Mormons are unfamiliar with the issures raised, and potential for misunderstanding and offense exists, we do not recommend this booklet for use with them in personal witnessing situations.

This booklet is informational, designed for use amongst Christians, or individuals, considering involvement in Mormonism. A thorough study of Mormonism is beyond the scope of this booklet, therefore, we recommend reading the reverence books listed throughout the booklet.
